If you own a motorhome or campervan and are looking to spend the night near Loch Katrine, you are welcome to use the carpark surrounding The Pier Cafe. The carpark is owned by the Steamship Sir Walter Scott Trust. They manage the site and provide facilities to make your stay comfortable.

Please note our pitches are all hardstanding and are suitable for Campervans and Motorhomes only.  Tents, Caravans and Awnings are not permitted.

Booking your pitch

To stay overnight, you need to book your pitch online through Loch Katrine.  Make sure to select Stronachlachar as your destination when booking.

  • Services Pitches are available for £25 per night. These have electricity, water, and WiFi connections
  • Non-Services Pitches are available for £12 per night. These provide a basic space without the additional utilities.

The bays offer a solid, level surface suitable for campervans and motorhomes. Having electricity and water makes overnight stays straightforward, especially if you are travelling without lasting supplies. The on-site Wi-Fi helps if you need to keep in touch, work, or simply browse while on the road.

Important Information Before Booking

  • The management of the carpark and motorhome bays is handled entirely by the team at the Steamship Sir Walter Scott Trust.
  • While The Pier Cafe is happy to help with basic questions, all bookings and site management queries should be directed to the Steamship Trust.
  • Pitches are not suitable for caravans or camping (tents)
  • Vehicles must be parked within the marked motorhome bays only
